How I Used My Online Business to Pay Off 250K in Debt (Business MINDSET!)

How I Used My Online Business to Pay Off 250K in Debt (Business MINDSET!)

It's a blunt question, but somebody's got to ask it: why do so many people fail starting their own business? In my opinion it all comes down to the business MINDSET, and attracting and visualizing success!

business mindset

First off, what do I mean by the business mindset? Well, a YouTube channel called The Art of Mediocrity is even more harsh than I just was, with a video titled, "Why Most People Will Remain in Mediocrity." Not exactly heartwarming stuff, but they talked about how mediocrity is like a magnet, pulling people toward it. And you have to actively push yourself AWAY from the tempting pull of that magnet in order to achieve your dreams.

I had honestly never thought of it like that before!

The video talked about how most people are just trying to beat the next person and that's all they care about, while also enjoying the security of doing what everyone else is doing.

But if you want to be your own boss, and travel the world, then you have to get rid of that herd mentality…where the reason you're doing the same thing as everyone else, the reason you're drifting toward the pull of that mediocre magnet, is because you're AFRAID of FAILURE. Simple as that!

Everyone is afraid of failure, which is why most people don't take risks.

People ask me, "Bonnie, how did you do it? How did you overcome so much, and succeed?"

But they're asking the question in the way that implies, "YOU could do it, Bonnie, but I can't." Why?

“Do you remember hurricane sandy? We put our account into the negative to park our car in the garage out of the flood water?” ⁣ ⁣ We lived in the ONE small portion of the upper east side by the loading dock that was flooded and without power for a week and a half. ⁣ ⁣ We could only afford one gym membership so we traded off to be able to shower. When everything in the fridge went bad it was devastating because it was 2 more weeks till we could food shop again. ⁣ ⁣ The electric company put the meter reading on hold due to the conditions and after we moved out and were already stationed in Cali with the military we got a bill that said “PAST DUE – LAST ATTEMPT BEFORE COLLECTIONS” it was for $300 some dollars and I remember hysterically crying when we got it. Saying some sarcastic statement like …” send me to collects , join the club!” ⁣ ⁣ THAT BILL was the first thing I paid off in my first month as a coach. I remember waiting for Andrew to get out of his 13 hour shift so I could show him the “ thank you for your payment “ email. I was so proud. ⁣ ⁣ Then I thought man, if I could do just that for our family…. what if I worked even harder ? More importantly do you think I’ll EVER be able to have a feeling like “ if something bad happens everything will be fine?” ⁣ ⁣ NOW as hurricane Dorian comes barreling towards our beloved dream home. We stand in a completely different situation . One we dreamed of when we bought a silly workout program and shake. ⁣ ⁣ I talk to people all day long who say they cant afford the cost to start for a workout program to unlock the potential to create the same thing I have. I argue …. you can’t afford NOT TO. ⁣ Thankful every damn day for the courage to start , the supportive husband by my side but ESPECIALLY TODAY.

It's like they think success is for "other people," and they can never see it happening to them. They can visualize it for others, but not for themselves!

So when they ask me what my secret is, I tell them that it's not a secret, it's just that you need to stop thinking that good things happen to other people, but not to you!! As if they're doing something right and you're not. The only thing they're doing right, truly, is believing in themselves.

For the last few years, like I said in this video, I've been trying to follow the advice of Louise Hay, who is sadly no longer with us:

https://www.facebook.com/Bonnie.Lynn.Engle/videos/10100594695103383/

But during her life, she was all about taking positive affirmations… uplifting words, and imagining yourself doing great things…day after day, until finally they actually happen. Believing in yourself is what motivates you to discover your passions, research them, get a team together, and continue pushing through when things get rough. If you don't believe in yourself, then there's no drive to do anything, right?

So in this video I talk about Louise Hay and about how even though hard work is important…the business mindset of POSITIVITY is just as important. It's just so darned easy to be negative…so easy to give in to the "pull" of the mediocre magnet because achieving your dreams is hard work!

But I truly believe that if you work at positivity, like it's your JOB, you will absolutely succeed.

If you're looking for your next business opportunity that you can throw yourself into completely…and, by the way, receive much more mentorship from yours truly…I'm currently training people who want to run their own online business!

Doesn't the flexibility and freedom of that sound great? Well, you can read way more about my business here!
