So if you read my last blog post, then you already have plenty of great ideas for unique things to do for your next birthday.
But I thought the party shouldn't stop there and, since that article was getting a little long, I wanted to save the best for last!!
So without further ado, here are some even more unique ideas that I've never seen anyone do at a party before:
1. The Whisper Game!
For this, all you have to do is put a pair of headphones on and crank them way up so you won't be able to hear anyone talking.
Although, I don't really like this part of the game, because it's bad for your hearing to listen to music too loud!! If you already happen to have a pair of noise-canceling headphones, or the other person talks quietly enough that you don't need to turn the music up crazy loud, that's way better.
So anyway, all you're going to do is face your friend with the music on super loud. They say things to you, and you try and repeat what you think they just said. Of course, you won't be able to hear them, and that's where the hilariousness kicks in for all your other guests!! Reading lips is hard, and of course you're probably going to get it completely wrong. For example, your friend could say "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers," and you try to repeat what you think they said. You can already see how this gets funny, huh? 😉
It's even better if you can have someone record the game so it will exist forever!! It's so funny that you're going to want to go back and watch it sometime.
2. Speaking of bringing "tech" into the games, one of my favorite unique things you can do for your next birthday is…karaoke!
I know it sounds hard to set up at home if you're not tech savvy, but there are so many ways you can do it. For one thing, there's apps as well as videos on YouTube that make it easy to sing along to songs and have karaoke versions of songs. Of course, it's always more fun to go out to an actual karaoke bar. But then, do that!!
3. Do something "quirky."
Go thrifting or go to, say, a makeup store or candle store. It may sound like a weird birthday idea for some people, but it's not like that has to be the whole party, just a warm-up before the girls' night out. Or, go see a movie everyone has been wanting to see!
There is no reason you have to be entertaining people every second, just because it's your party.
4. And last but not least, I think the best and most unique things to do for your next birthday involve an unforgettable shared experience of some kind…
…by getting outside your house.
But I don't think it means having to go to an expensive concert or anything like that. I recommend a group hike, or especially a group overnight camping trip under the stars! Now, I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely an amazing way to bond as a friend group, and it's not the kind of birthday party that anyone is going to expect, or forget.
Overall, when it comes to unique things to do for your next birthday, I think it makes sense to ask yourself, what is something you've wanted to do (because it is YOUR birthday. after all) that you haven't done with your friend group yet?
