It's a blunt question, but somebody's got to ask it: why do so many people fail starting their own business? In my opinion it all comes down to the business MINDSET, and attracting and visualizing success!
First off, what do I mean by the business mindset? Well, a YouTube channel called The Art of Mediocrity is even more harsh than I just was, with a video titled, "Why Most People Will Remain in Mediocrity." Not exactly heartwarming stuff, but they talked about how mediocrity is like a magnet, pulling people toward it. And you have to actively push yourself AWAY from the tempting pull of that magnet in order to achieve your dreams.
I had honestly never thought of it like that before!
The video talked about how most people are just trying to beat the next person and that's all they care about, while also enjoying the security of doing what everyone else is doing.
But if you want to be your own boss, and travel the world, then you have to get rid of that herd mentality…where the reason you're doing the same thing as everyone else, the reason you're drifting toward the pull of that mediocre magnet, is because you're AFRAID of FAILURE. Simple as that!
Everyone is afraid of failure, which is why most people don't take risks.
People ask me, "Bonnie, how did you do it? How did you overcome so much, and succeed?"
But they're asking the question in the way that implies, "YOU could do it, Bonnie, but I can't." Why?
It's like they think success is for "other people," and they can never see it happening to them. They can visualize it for others, but not for themselves!
So when they ask me what my secret is, I tell them that it's not a secret, it's just that you need to stop thinking that good things happen to other people, but not to you!! As if they're doing something right and you're not. The only thing they're doing right, truly, is believing in themselves.
For the last few years, like I said in this video, I've been trying to follow the advice of Louise Hay, who is sadly no longer with us:

But during her life, she was all about taking positive affirmations… uplifting words, and imagining yourself doing great things…day after day, until finally they actually happen. Believing in yourself is what motivates you to discover your passions, research them, get a team together, and continue pushing through when things get rough. If you don't believe in yourself, then there's no drive to do anything, right?
So in this video I talk about Louise Hay and about how even though hard work is important…the business mindset of POSITIVITY is just as important. It's just so darned easy to be negative…so easy to give in to the "pull" of the mediocre magnet because achieving your dreams is hard work!
But I truly believe that if you work at positivity, like it's your JOB, you will absolutely succeed.
