As we finalize the plans for SUMMIT 2016 (OUR ANNUAL Beachbody Event where we celebrate all the accomplishments, workout, have ceremonies, parties, fun, you name it!) I can’t help but feel like WOAH – things have changed! And they have only changed because of HARD FREAKING WORK.
The VERY FIRST Summit I ever went to was in Las Vegas, in 2014, and I had been a coach for only a few months and was still a little wary of this whole thing. I just about MAXED OUT Andrew Engle’s credit card and shared a room with 4 other girls and slept in a bed with someone I had never met before. I had to choose VERY carefully what I ate and my stomach turned every time the waitress came back over because I was SURE she was going to say “I’m sorry its declined” BUT I HAD A VISION. Some people might say that’s crazy and they wouldn’t do it. But — NO RISK, NO REWARD!! Sometimes you just kinda KNOW that this is where you are supposed to be. SO I made sacrifices to make it happen. And THAT was such a turning point for me. that solidified those visions. These were REAL, welcoming, successful people. IT WAS REAL and I said ONE DAY I WILL be up on that stage and I WILL change my families LIFE.
THIS YEAR, as we finalize plans for the LEADERSHIP PARTY we are throwing for our 15 PLUS DIAMOND coaches (leaders on our team), and coming back as a TOP 10 LEADER in the company, rehearsing to present on stage, COMPLETELY DEBT FREE, waiting to hear if Andrew is out of the military, working on logistics to be picked up by a car service from Beachbody, (ALL things that seemed LIFETIMES AWAY just 2 years ago) I actually have to shake my head/slap myself. THIS is not normal, most companies and jobs TAKE YEARS UPON YEARS to move up the ladder like this and when that DOES happen you are too close to retirement to appreciate. This opportunity is LITERALLY ONE OF A KIND. It offers you the opportunity to LIVE like would usually take you 30 plus years. IT BAFFLES ME when people say no. I think mostly its FEAR. SOMETIMES you can certainly BLOW YOUR OWN DAMN MIND.
The first year I was STRUGGLING, in every sense of the word. and I went to this event and said NO FREAKING MORE. I will be financially, physically and emotionally stable and THEN I WILL help other women realize that feeling.
Going into this summit as a top 10 team with MY TRIBE, I could not be more proud of them/us/this company. My goal this year? TO REACH EVERY SOUL that sits in a seat of my presentation and SHAKE THEM to their core so THEY KNOW, its possible for them too. ALL you have to do is believe. If you don’t, no one else will ever fight for you. <3
And I might ask you …….What’s your vision? Are you working towards it or are you thinking about it? Are you making sacrifices for it or are you throwing the towel?
